Welcome to AAP Travel ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our booking site and services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. AAP Travel treats your personal information with respect and protects it with full confidentiality.

What Personal Information Do We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information: Full Name, Age, Contact Number, Email, Address and/or AAP Member’s Pin Code (if you are a member of the Automobile Association Philippines).

Purpose of Personal Information

We collect, use, and store your personal information for the following purposes:

1. To process and confirm your travel reservations.

2. To respond to your inquiries, provide assistance, and resolve issues.

3. To send promotional offers, updates, and travel-related information. You can opt out any time.

4. To analyze user behavior, optimize our website and develop new features and services.

5. To monitor compliance with registration requirements as mandated under R.A. 10173 also known as “Data Privacy Act of 2012” and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, as well as Circular 2016-01.

Security of Your Personal Information

AAP Travel practices the necessary technical, organizational, and physical measures to make sure that the details and information you provided us are protected and secured.

Only authorized AAP Travel employees have access to this personal information, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and hard copy. They will be stored in a database for five years after which physical records shall be disposed of through shredding while digital files shall be anonymized.

III. DATA RETENTION

We collect certain information as you avail the services that we have here in AAP Travel. Our Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and share it, and how you can control your information. AAP shall retain your personal data for as long as the purposes for which such data is collected or use (as notified to you) continues, or where necessary for our legal or business purposes.

Data Subject Rights

As provided in our Privacy Policy, all of the members have the right to the information that they give to AAP Travel. Here is a summary of the rights that you have:

- Right to be informed – you may demand the details as to how your Personal Information is being processed or have been processed by AAP Travel.

- Right to access your personal information – upon written request, you may demand reasonable access to your Personal Information, which may include the contents of your processed personal information, the manner of processing, sources where they were obtained, recipients and reason for disclosure.

- Right to rectify your personal data if they are incorrect – you have the right to correct some personal information that is inaccurate.

- Right to erase your personal data if you did not want the services of AAP Travel already – as a data subject, you have the right to suspend, withdraw, or order, blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal data from AAP Travel’s filing system, without prejudice to the continuous processing for legal and regulatory processes.

- Right to object – you may suspend, withdraw, and remove any Personal Information in certain further processing, upon demand, which includes your right to opt-out of any business communication or advertising purpose from AAP Travel.

- Right to be indemnified for damages – as a data subject, you have every right to be indemnified for any damages sustained due to such violation of your right to privacy through inaccurate, false, unlawfully obtained or unauthorized use of your information.

- Right to file a complaint – you may file a complaint or any concerns with our Data Protection Officer and/or with the National Privacy Commission through www.privacy.gov.ph.

Withdrawal of Consent

If you do not wish to use or disclose any of the Personal Information that you have shared with us, you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email or written notice to dpo@aap.org.ph.

However, depending on the circumstances and the nature or extent of your withdrawal, the withdrawal of your consent may result in us not being able to provide services to you, and such request may be considered a termination, provided that some certain personal information might constitute termination and our legal rights and remedies by in such event are expressly reserve.

Deletion Request Process

If you wish to delete some of your personal information given to us through our Mobile Application and Web-based Application, please email us at dpo@aap.org.ph with a subject heading of RE: REQUESTING TO DELETE SOME PERSONAL INFORMATION. Upon receiving your email, our Data Protection Officer would communicate with you to verify the user’s request and to ask some questions, as some information deleted in our database can constitute the withdrawal of our services to you. If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on a user’s behalf (where permitted), we may require proof of your written authorization with a valid ID to confirm identity before processing the request. Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to appeal our decision to deny your request. Access, Deletion and Correction of Data

We give you the freedom to edit and delete some of your information in the Mobile Application and Web-based Application.

However, for assistance to access, update, or otherwise change or remove any information that you provide to us, please email us at info@aap.org.ph.

Database Record

Here in AAP Travel, we have a 5 years deletion rule in which we retain the information of our database backups for 5 years upon which they are completely deleted from our system.

Changes to AAP’s Privacy Policy

We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We always indicate the date and the last changes were published, and if changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice as required by law, such as by emailing you or highlighting the changes within the application.
